The Dual Automatic Rifle (Spanish: Fusil Automático Doble) was designed by Salomón Braga Lozo from SIMA Electronica, a division of the state-owned SIMA (Spanish: Servicio Industrial de la Marina) shipyards, based in the port of Callao. Is a proposal centered around the cartridge NATO 5.56x45mm that offers less recoil, less weight and volume while at the same time giving precision, adequate range and ergonomy that is to be coupled with a "pump-action" type 40mm Grenade Launcher in a single package. It is of the "Bullpup" configuration; being a compact weapon can be easily used by armor crews, as a back-up weapon.
Singleplayer/Spec-Ops
The FAD is seen in the hands of African Militia forces during Singleplayer.
The FAD appears in Modern Warfare 3's Survival Mode where it is unlocked at level 32. It is a very strong weapon at close to mid range, but its high recoil leads to loss of accuracy at range.

The FAD is unlocked at Level 78 in Modern Warfare 3's multiplayer, being the last assault rifle unlocked. It seems to have very peculiar iron sights, being rather large and raised. The FAD has an extremely high rate of fire, at 1000 RPM, but also has the lowest damage of any assault rifle and a very slow reload. However, the magazine enters the weapon fairly early in the reload animation at 1.5 seconds, making reload cancelling very beneficial to the FAD.

The Attachment Proficiency is also helpful if you are still getting comfortable with iron sights, as it allows you to take and optical Attachment and a second utility Attachment. |

Reduces visual recoil by 50% when you are hit. Focus is very effective for SMGs and Shotguns. It is also helpful for ARs, as it can keep your shots on target when you enter a heads-up one-on-one firefight. |

Allows you to remove the slight sway from Assault Rifles by holding your breath. Very situational, most useful with the Type 95, M16A4 or MK14 with a long-range sight fitted. Breath can be used with automatics, as well, for careful long-range burst-fired shots, though the benefit is small. |

Reduces idle sway by 25%. Consider this to be an 'automatic' Breath for long-range combat. It is most useful on LMGs, as they need the enhanced accuracy for long-range shots, though ARs also benefit from it. |
